Panchang, also known as Panchangam, represents the five elements of Vedic Astrology: Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (asterism), Yoga (angle between the Sun and Moon), Karana (half-day) and Var (weekday). When combined for a specific day, these elements form the Panchang. With the constant movement of the Moon and Sun, these elements change daily, prompting followers of Hinduism to consult the Panchangam regularly.
